CTI FoodTech is exlcusive dealer of industrial machines by JBT Corporation, the American company with over a century of history in the food machinery sector. The company proposes on the market the Saturno Peeler, capable of peeling great amounts of tomatoes, thanks to the ability to adjust the blanching time according to the initial or final properties of the product. The machine provides an effective steam peeling for all tomato varieties at an average 50/55 tons per hour.
How does it work?
The fresh product enters the feeding valve through a hopper. Eventually, the tomatoes are transferred to the pressurized area and then in the dispenser. The internal steam pressure is kept using radial and axial gaskets.
The machine processes tomatoes of different variety and degrees of ripeness, setting the optima thermal cycle.
The following blanching options are available for excellent performances:
Pressurized steam blanching up to 131° C, with subsequent dip into overheated water
Pressurized steam blanching
Blanching through dip into overheated water
The product, vacuum cooled in the extraction valve, is then discharged through a hopper on an elevator which feeds the peel separators.
