Description
Apricot Pitter AP-1800 orients, pits and halves oval-shaped apricots (freestone).
This new model has 9 trucks and can process up to 1800 fruits per minute (the highest capacity for processing apricots), depending on fruits conditions.
This equipment is optimal to process apricot halves for canned or frozen products.
Operation
The shaking feeder aligns the fruits at the entrance of the screws and carries the apricots to the orienting belts, feeding individually the six channels of the pitter. The quantity of fruits that feed the shaker is controlled by a micro-switch through a detector placed at the center of the shaker’s hopper. This micro-switch activates or deactivates the feeding to ensure a constant volume on the hopper.
Thanks to the belts and the plastic fingers, the fruits, crossing the orientation section, are positioned and aligned along the suture line.
The plastic fingers move in the same direction of the belts, so the apricots are moved and this movement allows them to orient. The apricots are finally transferred to the cutting section.
In the pitting station, the apricots rotate under the blade while a system pit removal, mounted on the machine, removes all the pits separating them from the pulp
